Job summary

Ziebart Canandaigua is seeking a hands-on chemical application technician to rust proof vehicles and apply protective coatings, ensuring top performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include undercoating, rust eliminator, and top side treatments, plus prep work and post-treatment cleaning.

Duties cover undersides prep, coating application, exterior cleaning, tool and workspace maintenance, and assisting transport of vehicles.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chemical application experience preferred.
• Attention to safety and protective gear usage.

Responsibilities

• Properly pre-cleaning vehicle underside and applying clean coat when necessary to protect vehicle underside.
• Rust proofing vehicles by applying undercoating, rust eliminator and top side as required.
• Cleaning exterior of vehicles after chemical application and protecting interior with proper mats and covers.
• Maintain a clean workspace and adequate supplies at all times.
• Maintain the necessary tools to complete the required work.
• Assist in transporting cars and other tasks as required.
• Final check own work to minimize having to re-work vehicle.
• Complete work within standard labor hours.
• Help promote team atmosphere by working together when requested by management.
• Be proactive in self development – learning new job related skills.
• Maintain and promote a positive attitude, especially while under pressure.
• Maintain a constant awareness of deadlines.
• Increase the stores ability to process more vehicles by maintaining an attitude of urgency.

Job description

Primary Priorities & Responsibilities: This is a hand’s on chemical application position. Primary responsibilities are to rust proof cars, while ensuring the highest level of performance 100% of the time and exceeding customer expectations. Job duties related to chemical application include, but not limited to applying undercoating, top side, rust eliminator, cleaning and prepping vehicles, tool maintenance, and other general cleaning.
