Job summary

Bowser Automotive Inc. seeks a Rustproof Technician / New Car Prep Specialist to ensure every vehicle leaving the dealership looks and performs its best. You will perform rustproofing, undercoating, and thorough detailing in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of following written instructions while delivering excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license and team-first attitude are required.

Responsibilities

• Rustproofing and undercoating vehicles as assigned.
• Safely lifting vehicles and applying undercoating with precise coverage.
• Applying rustproofing chemicals to doors, panels, and engine compartments.
• Wearing protective gear and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
• Transporting vehicles carefully to avoid interior contamination and damage.
• Washing and detailing vehicles to showroom-quality standards.
• Inspecting vehicles for damage and verifying accessories.
• Documenting any damage or missing items.
• Parking completed vehicles in assigned areas and assisting teammates.
• Occasionally delivering vehicles to other dealerships and supporting winter operations.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

• Rustproofing and undercoating vehicles as assigned
• Safely lifting vehicles and applying undercoating with thorough, precise coverage
• Applying rustproofing chemicals to doors, panels, engine compartments, truck beds, and other designated areas
• Wearing appropriate protective gear (provided), including protective suit, gloves, goggles, and respirator
• Transporting vehicles carefully to prevent interior contamination
• Cleaning overspray and ensuring a flawless finish
• Washing and detailing vehicles to showroom-quality standards
• Inspecting vehicles for damage and verifying listed accessories
• Documenting any damage or missing items
• Parking completed vehicles in assigned areas
• Assisting technicians and valets as needed
• Occasionally retrieving or delivering vehicles to other dealerships
• Maintaining a clean and organized detail shop
• Supporting winter operations, including snow and ice removal and clearing vehicles

Physical Requirements

• Standing, bending, stooping, and walking for up to 8 hours per day
