Job summary

HOLT CAT in Waco, TX is seeking an Undercarriage Shop Technician 1 to perform basic to moderate diagnosis and repairs on heavy construction equipment undercarriage in a shop environment.

The role includes operating undercarriage build-up and rebuild machines, assisting with disassembly and inspection, and collaborating with the team to meet customer needs; a technical background and tools are required, with hours Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Technical schooling preferred.
• 1+ years of heavy construction equipment repair experience preferred.
• Must own basic tools to perform the job.
• Must complete V.B.L. and DISC classes prior to promoting to Tech 2.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic repairs on equipment undercarriage and undercarriage components.
• Operates undercarriage build-up and rebuild machines, and all tooling and machines used in undercarriage rebuilding.
• Assists in disassembling, cleaning, inspections, repairs, and assembling undercarriage components.
• Assists in evaluating, measuring, and monitoring of undercarriage conditions.
• Works as a member of a team to provide basic technical and mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals.
