Job summary

Dobbs Equipment in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Track, Service Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy equipment undercarriage in a shop setting. You will remove and install tracks, rollers, idlers, and sprockets, including repairing broken link assemblies with a cutting torch.

Must work safely, report issues to the Service Manager, and maintain a neat workspace. The role requires knowledge of John Deere undercarriage systems (and comparable brands on a case-by-case basis),

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using Technical Manual procedures and special tools.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely around shop.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Work alone with limited supervision.
• Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
• Report any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager for proper and safe operation by the customer.
• Participate in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.
• Represent the dealership as a professional Service Technician at all times.
• Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, vehicles, and other employee’s belongings.
• Reports to work on time, as scheduled.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour days, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to operate company vehicles and follow all motor vehicle state safety laws.
