Job summary

Dobbs Equipment in Melbourne, FL seeks an experienced Track, Service Technician to perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment undercarriage in a shop setting.

You will work both independently and in teams, removing and installing tracks, rollers, idlers and sprockets, and you may handle repairs using a cutting torch. Safety and accuracy are essential, with a focus on keeping equipment in peak operating condition.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation.
• Ability to perform basic repairs using special tools and procedures per manuals.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely around the shop.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work alone or with limited supervision and prepare required reports.
• Report additional required work to the Service Manager for safe operation.
• Participate in training programs and maintain a neat work area.
• Remove/install tracks, rollers, idlers, sprockets and related undercarriage components.
• Perform inspections and communicate findings to the Service Manager.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to company safety policies.
• Possess knowledge of John Deere undercarriage or similar brands as applicable.
