Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Mechanic for our Baton Rouge area service centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and tires, while also handling inspections and routine maintenance.

You will join a team focused on customer satisfaction, safety, and quality workmanship, with on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth in a large national network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services.
• Handle undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state inspections and routine maintenance like oil changes and fluid checks.
• Replace worn parts and manage tire mounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Ensure safety and quality in all repairs and customer interactions.
