Job summary

Coilplus, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Loader to prepare and load material for slitting and leveling operations. You will verify inventory, assist with machine setup, and help maintain a clean, safe work area.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic English reading/writing, and ability to read a tape measure. Prior metals experience is preferred; US work authorization is required. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Springfield facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify and inspect material before loading.
• Load material and thread through the leveler or cutter stand.
• Assist the operator in starting the machine and monitor material flow.
• Maintain a clean work area and dispose of scrap.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ensures coils are loaded properly to keep the slitter and/or CTL lines running efficiently and effectively to meet the company's production goals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Receive, verify and inspect material in preparation to load machine.

Load machine and thread material through the leveler or cutter stand.

Assists the operator in starting the machine. Observes flow of material to detect irregular slitting or leveling.

Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals). Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
• Work authorization: United States (Required)

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior metals experience preferred.
