Job summary

Prosegur is seeking a SecurityShiftLead in Santa Monica, CA for on-site, full-time second shift. You will oversee day-to-day security operations, ensure post orders compliance, manage staffing, and maintain a professional client-facing presence.

Regular duties include briefing, access control, incident reporting, and coaching officers. The role requires 3–5 years in security with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of security experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a comparable environment.
• 1+ year of direct customer-facing security or related experience.
• 1+ year using workplace technology including visitor management, access control, CCTV/VMS, data entry, and MS 365.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift briefings, assign posts, and ensure staffing meets contractual requirements.
• Monitor site activity and enforce access control, visitor management, and alarm response.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and DARs; submit timely reports.
• Coach, mentor, and develop officers; conduct on-the-job training and drills.
• Prepare incident summaries and KPI updates for client and Operations.

Job Skills / Requirements

The SecurityShiftLead is the on-siteshiftleadresponsible for day-to-day security operations, officer performance, and client satisfaction attheSite. This role ensures compliance with post orders, regulatory requirements, and company policies whilemaintaininga visible, professional presence and a safe environment for employees, visitors, and assets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead daily shift briefings; assign posts, review post orders, and verify staffing meets contractual requirements
• Monitor site activity and enforce access control, visitor/vendor management, key control, patrols, escorts, and alarm response
• Maintainaccuratelogs, incident/accident reports, and pass-downs;submittimelydaily activity reports (DARs)
• Conduct routine post inspections and quality checks; correct deficienciesimmediatelyand elevate issues as needed
• Manage badge issuance, turn-ins, and audit trailsin accordance withclient standards
• Frequent client interfacing on site needs/operations
• Schedule officers, manage timekeeping, approve hours, and coordinate coverage for call-offs/vacations
• Coach, mentor, and develop officers; conduct on-the-job training and refresher drills (post orders, emergencies, de-escalation)
• Execute performance feedback and corrective action in partnership with HR/Operations; uphold fair, consistent standards
• Support recruiting/onboarding,helpinterview candidates,participatein site-specific training, and verify certifications
• Partner with Facilities/EHS/IT/HR to support safety campaigns, audits, andspecial events.
• Prepare and deliver concise incident summaries and weekly/monthly KPI updates to the client and Operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and site-specific policies (e.g., OSHA, fire/life safety, camera/privacy rules).
• Enforce uniform and appearance standards;maintainequipment readiness (radios, body cams, flashlights, AEDs).
• Lead emergency response per site protocols (evacuations, medical emergencies, workplace violence, severe weather).
• Preserve evidence and scene integrity; coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, and client stakeholders as directed.
• Maintain current post orders/SOPs; recommend updates based on lessons learned and client feedback.
• Track training, licenses, and certifications; ensure all officersremainfully compliant andjob-ready.
• Control site inventory (badges, keys, forms, PPE);submitpurchase/repair requests per approval matrix.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective scheduling

Qualifications

• Security experience: 3–5 years of security experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role .
• Leadership experience (Lead positions only): 1+ year of experience in a comparable work environment.
• Direct customer-facing experience: 1+ year of experience providing professional customer service in a security or related environment.
• Relevant computer experience: 1+ year using workplace technology and common computer applications, including:
• Visitor management systems
• Access control systems
• CCTV/VMS platforms
• Data entry and general computer applications
• Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay Rate: $23.88

• Days Off: Sunday-Tuesday
