Job summary

Triple Canopy in North Carolina is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead our Amazon services contract in the Hamlet area. You will oversee security officers, coordinate patrols, access control, and investigations to ensure client requirements are met on day and night shifts.

This role requires strong writing, English proficiency, and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment. You must pass background checks and maintain required certifications while maintaining that our team delivers

Qualifications

• US citizen with a valid Social Security card.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years security experience in the past five years or 1 year military/National Guard or law enforcement training.
• At least 3 years of knowledge of security methodologies.
• Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and required guard certifications.
• Strong writing and reporting skills; fluent English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and regulatory training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the contract manager.

POSITION SUMMARY

Acts as the primary leader on our security services contract with Amazon.com Services LLC in North Carolina (Hamlet Area). The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security officers and ensuring security officers provide all routine patrol and access control functions including property control. As directed, plans, schedules, assigns, reviews, and supervises field or office operations on an assigned shift; supervises, coordinates, and performs a full range of investigations, patrol, traffic, and/or administrative duties; maintains a good working relationship with the client. This position works shifts day and night.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to the contract manager


• Make critical decisions independently


• Oversight of shift security guards


• Communicate with facility representatives/customer


• Patrol facilities and report all security or safety deficiencies


• Conduct timed patrol tours and special signoffs as directed


• Respond to alarms and unauthorized access events


• Supervise and enforce access and property control policies at all gates and lobbies


• Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary


• Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices


• Occasional travel is required and must be willing to work rotating shifts


• Physical requirements: lifting more than 10 pounds; may lift and carry up to 50 lbs; bending, twisting, standing for long periods; foot patrols; varied weather conditions; climbing up to 8 flights of stairs; 90% of work involves physical activity; occasional travel and rotating shifts

QUALIFICATIONS

• US Citizen with a valid Social Security card


• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent


• At least one of the following experience/education criteria:




• 3 years of security experience within the past five years


• 1 year of military or National Guard experience


• State-certified law enforcement education and training or Police Officer Standards training




• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge of law enforcement or security methodologies


• American Red Cross First Aid/CPR & AED Instructor Certification preferred


• Valid state driver's license


• Security Guard Officer Training and certifications completed


• Training: maintain security guard certifications in accordance with state or federal requirements


• Strong writing skills and ability to prepare detailed written reports


• Clear written and spoken English


• Proficient in Microsoft Office


• Maintain mandated training requirements per company guidance


• Pass background investigation, physical, drug, and psychological screening; meet client requirements


• Effective oral and written communication with all levels of the organization


• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and multiple priorities


• Problem-solving skills with analytical thinking


• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment


• Support safety programs and participate in quality and process improvement


• Must be able to wear protective body armor as part of the duty uniform
