Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer in Allentown, PA. You will patrol residential locations, deter incidents, monitor access, and respond to alarms with a service-focused approach.

The position requires 1 year of law enforcement, or 2 years in a supervisory/security role, or 3 years in security, plus a high school diploma or equivalent. Salary is $19/hour with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience OR 2 years in a supervisory/security-management role OR 3 years in a security-related position.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law; driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures and report unusual conditions.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately per site requirements.
