Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response where needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures to maintain an orderly environment.
• Document incidents and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to supervision and site representatives.
