Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Commercial Building Patrol to patrol a technology and media campus, deter incidents, and support access control. You will provide excellent customer service and document activity with company tools.

Minimum requirements include 3+ years of law enforcement/corrections/military experience or 5+ years of armed security, plus a high school diploma. The role is full-time with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $22.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience if applicable.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with access-control procedures per site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observed incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
