Job summary

Colonial Security Services in Princeton, NJ seeks an Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard people and property. You will patrol, observe, and respond to incidents while upholding company policies and procedures on site.

Applicants should have a NJ SORA license or ability to obtain one, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; weekend shifts run Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 12am.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to deter unauthorized access, prevent incidents, and ensure the security of premises.
• Utilize surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment to observe activity on the premises, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control measures, visitor management, and property protection protocols.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors and customers.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents, provide assistance and facilitate investigations.
