Colonial Security Services is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to help protect personnel, customers, and assets at our Princeton site. The role requires Sat/Sun 4pm-12am shifts and a valid NJ SORA license or eligibility.

A high school diploma or equivalent and strong observation, communication, and teamwork skills are essential. You will patrol, monitor cameras, enforce access control, and respond to emergencies while maintaining professionalism and clear documentation.

Qualificações

• Current and valid NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one.

• Previous security experience is preferred.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and assets. You will enforce company policies and procedures, respond to emergencies, and conduct patrols to ensure the security of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to deter unauthorized access, prevent incidents, and ensure the security of premises


• Utilize surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment to observe activity on the premises, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate action when necessary


• Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control measures, visitor management, and property protection protocols


• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation


• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors and customers


• Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness


• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents, provide assistance and facilitate investigations

Qualifications
