Qualifications

• Current and valid NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security highly preferred.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking and occasionally lifting or moving objects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to deter unauthorized access, prevent incidents, and ensure the security of premises
• Utilize surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment to observe activity on the premises, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate action when necessary
• Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control measures, visitor management, and property protection protocols
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors and customers
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents, provide assistance and facilitate investigations
