Job summary

Allied Universal, Pomona, CA, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol deterrence. You will monitor client sites, deter incidents, and provide courteous service while patrolling and reporting.

This role requires a visible presence, adherence to site policies, and teamwork within our people-first culture. The position offers day/evening shifts with opportunities for growth; bilingual Spanish is preferred, and a background check and drug screen are required by law.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish (reading, speaking, writing).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by performing security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, documenting observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grocery retail areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and building perimeters.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns to site leadership.
