Job summary

Allied Universal, Pomona, CA, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol deterrence. You will monitor client sites, deter incidents, and provide courteous service while patrolling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by performing security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, documenting observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grocery retail areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and building perimeters.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grocery retail areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and building perimeters to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help deter unauthorized activity, provide directions, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
