Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor and patrol a financial institution, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain security procedures while deter­ring incidents.

The role requires strong communication and a professional presence to ensure a welcoming environment. Minimum requirements include at least 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and Allied Universal policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with client personnel, visitors, and public responders when needed to support security-related operations.
