Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol assigned areas, verify access, and provide excellent customer service. You will maintain a professional presence, deter incidents, and follow site procedures at a utility location.

This role offers a flexible schedule with shifts on Thursday and Friday, a pay rate of $18.25 per hour, and opportunities to learn our exclusive shift-claim platform and grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors, while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; document entries and incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, solution-focused manner and assist with site emergency protocols.
• Maintain a professional presence and report hazards or security concerns to site contacts and leadership.
