Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for part-time shifts in Panorama City, CA. You will ensure safety for customers and employees, perform unarmed security duties, and monitor for hazards.

Requirements include 18+ years, California Security Guard Card, a high school diploma or GED, strong written and spoken English, and the ability to follow complex instructions. Shifts are Friday-Sunday 11am-9pm; pay rate $22.00 per hour, with full benefits and 401k; weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• California Security Guard Card.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented with basic to intermediate computer skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Perform routine foot patrols and work in all-weather conditions as an Unarmed Security Officer.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.

• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
