Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for overnight patrol in Bloomington, MN. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, observing and reporting incidents, and providing professional customer service at client sites.

The ideal candidate has strong English communication, a HS diploma, a clean driving record, and the ability to work a late-night shift, climb stairs, and perform patrols in varying conditions. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs legibly and timely.
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate client-site devices.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general unarmed security duties and routine patrols.
• Observe, correct, and report hazards; ensure compliance with post instructions.

The Security Professional is expected to have strong observational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to various security situations. Shift:

Mon - Friday: 2400 - 0800

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check.
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Post dress code may vary from a suit and tie, or tactical

Qualifications we are looking for:

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Driver's License
• Clean driving record and valid driver license
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures

Physical Requirements:This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routesWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsMaintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrolsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsThese physical requirements are essential to performing the job successfully.
