Job summary

Allied Universal in Blue Rapids, KS is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, and deliver courteous service while upholding the company’s values.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $17.77 per hour, along with tools and opportunities for career growth and benefits. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and pass background checks and pre-employment drug screening where permitted.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
