Job summary

Allied Universal in Darlington, SC seeks an unarmed Security Officer to protect a manufacturing facility. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and provide frontline customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors on a full-time, on-site schedule.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background checks with possible drug screening where allowed. Driving positions require a valid license.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage access for visitors and contractors, and maintain records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activity and communicate with site personnel.
