Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Access Control in Darlington, SC. You will provide professional customer service, monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents at a technology, media, and telecom site.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Flexible schedule with a pay rate of $15.00/hour; shifts listed in the job description.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document arrivals, departures, and security-related observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
