Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for our Chantilly location. This full-time, experienced unarmed patrol role offers meaningful work protecting people, property, and assets in a technology-focused environment.

You will perform routine and random patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and enforce site policies while delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and document observations, incidents, and shift activities accurately.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client-specific post orders.
