Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Government Facility Access Patrol. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service at a government location. This full-time role pays $22.00 per hour and follows a daytime/evening schedule.

Responsibilities include reporting and documenting patrols, incidents, and interactions with public agency personnel. Minimum 1 year of security experience and high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor entrances and verify credentials according to site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs.
