Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Presence in Reno, NV. This full-time role pays $22.35 per hour and follows a DayTime schedule Monday through Friday.

You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and uphold a secure environment for staff and visitors. Minimum requirements include at least 6 months of security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Presence in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
