Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer College Graduate Patrol in Sandston, VA. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, patrolling assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.

The role requires 3+ years in security or a college degree, with CPR/First Aid preferred. Schedule includes Daytime shifts, and applicants must pass background and drug screenings per legal requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and other assigned areas in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
