Job summary

Doyle Security Services Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to monitor a client site in Yaphank, NY. The role involves patrolling the premises, observing for irregularities, and reporting incidents to maintain safety and security for staff and property.

Typical schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 15:00 to 23:00, with a pay rate up to $19.00 per hour. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, NYS Security Guard License, and a valid driver’s license.

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 1500-2300

Pay Range

Up to USD $19.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
