Unarmed Security Officer (Birmingham Area Branch)

Salary Range: $12.00 - $15.00 / hour

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
2. Perform general security duties as assigned by clients.
3. Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards.
4. Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, including specific post instructions.
5. Participate in training and familiarize yourself with safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
6. Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions.

Pre-employment Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and communication means.
• Pass background and drug screenings.

Certification Requirements

• Valid State Driver's License.
• Valid State of Alabama Security License.

This position reports to the Operations Manager. It is a full-time and part-time role with shifts available during 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and weekends.
