Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for the 3rd shift in Tennessee. The role includes patrolling, access control, and monitoring surveillance to maintain safety and protect assets. Compensation is hourly with benefits and paid training where allowed by law.

The position requires weekend work, a valid Tennessee security license (preferred), and a HS diploma or equivalent. Employment is full-time with opportunities for growth within the private security sector.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns.
• Monitor facility access points and verify IDs/credentials.
• Monitor surveillance feeds for signs of threats or breaches.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
• Maintain logs of activities, incidents, and observations.
• Perform routine tasks like locking/unlocking doors and operating security systems.
• Assist visitors and employees and enforce security policies.

Conditions of Employment

Job Description:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• TN Unarmed Security License
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday, and Sunday).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and identify/report concerns.
• Monitor facility access points; verify IDs and credentials.
• Monitor surveillance feeds for signs of threats or breaches.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents using established protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations.
• Perform routine tasks: locking/unlocking doors and managing security systems.

Customer Service & Policy Enforcement

• Assist visitors and employees, address concerns professionally.
• Enforce security procedures per Security Post Instructions.
• Ensure compliance with SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).

Minimum Qualifications:

• The State of Tennessee requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer/Guard License when providing any regulated activities in the State of Tennessee
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Minimum:

• Ability to perform in high-paced, potentially stressful environments.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Strong situational awareness and curiosity.
• Ability to stay calm, problem-solve, and act effectively in critical situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a tablet for reporting.

Preferred:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break.
• Sit for at least 1 hour without break.
• Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping.
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.

This is a Full-Time position3rd Shift, Weekends, Mon-Tues (11PM-7AM) Sat (3PM-1AM) & Sun (3PM-12AM).
