Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is seeking an unarmed security officer for a 3rd shift position in Hazelton Mills, PA. The role emphasizes professional conduct, vigilant observation, and excellent customer service at a high-volume facility.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour. The schedule runs Sat-Wed, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 40 hours per week and full-time employment. Benefits include PTO, holidays, medical and dental insurance, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum of one year of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Rover: patrols to detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism or theft.
• Gatehouse: greet visitors, check ID, log vehicles, control access.
• Front Desk: greet guests, provide customer service, monitor CCTV, log visits.
• Access Control: perform security checks per site procedures.
• Dock Operations: monitor shipping areas and log trucks.

About This Schedule

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
• Access Control: Perform access control and security checks according to site procedures.
• Dock Operations: Monitor shipping areas, open and close dock doors, log inbound and outbound trucks, and help prevent theft during loading and peak-season projects.
• Receiving Support: Assist with inbound truck processing, keep accurate logs, send and receive emails, and monitor open dock doors.
• Security Checks: Conduct security checks according to site procedures and report any concerns to your supervisor.
• Site Monitoring: Use site computer systems to monitor activity and keep accurate records according to site procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
• Able to commit to the posted schedule: Sat-Wed, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
