Job summary

Constellis is seeking a professional unarmed security officer to protect personnel, visitors, and property across multiple Bay Area locations including Mission Bay, South San Francisco, San Carlos, and Palo Alto.

The role requires full-time attendance with training provided; compensation starts at $40.00 per hour, with paid training during the 1.5 weeks. Shifts are not guaranteed in a single building and may involve outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed security experience options.
• Active BSIS Guard License is required.
• Must possess OC Certification and a valid Driver's License.
• US citizenship with Social Security card and medical screening.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, unarmed security services for personnel, visitors, and property.
• Conduct perimeter and internal security and threat monitoring.
• Screen and process visitors; report any offenses or incidents.
• Perform roving patrols, traffic control, and emergency response duties.
• Maintain security logs and communicate via two-way radio.

Job Qualifications and Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide professional, high-level unarmed security services for the personnel, visitors, and property of various buildings within the California Bay Area. Work locations include Mission Bay, South San Francisco, San Carlos, and Palo Alto. shifts in a specific building will not be guaranteed.

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

Rate of Pay: $40.00/hr

Paid training for 1.5 weeks at a full hourly rate

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide security for various buildings by conducting perimeter security, internal security, threat monitoring , etc.
• Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
• Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors
• Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors as required
• Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations
• Conduct internal and external roving vehicle, bicycle, and/or foot patrols
• Traffic control as necessary
• Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies
• Secure entrances and exits during emergencies
• Control keys and lock combinations
• Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company issued cellular phone
• Understand and comply with all requirements, plans, policies, procedures.
• Observe and report all offenses/incidents including suspicious activity
• Complete all reports and paperwork as required
• Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
• Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with state and company guidance.
• Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
• Support safety programs participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular, in-person attendance is required.
• Work is typically based in and around a a busy multi-building environment subject to frequent interruptions.
• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent running, continuous and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending without the aid of any walking assistance device. Must be physically capable of riding a bicycle and/or operating a motor vehicle throughout the course of a workday.May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather.

Qualifications

• Must meet one (1) of the below experience requirements.
  • Prior Law Enforcement Officer graduated from official Law Enforcement Academy OR
  • Prior military with honorable discharge at a rank of E4 or above OR
  • Four (4) years of licensed armed security officer experience (Less Than Lethal acceptable), with demonstrated advanced training in security skill sets and proficiencies and a security vendor service record free of adverse actions OR
  • Five (5) years unarmed experience, and (2) years armed experience, and/or (2) years honorable military service with honorable discharge AND
• Must posses an active BSIS Guard License
• Must posses an OC Certification
• Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School. Foreign education must be evaluated to meet U.S. education requirements
• Must be a US Citizen with social security card
• Current Driver's License
• Current CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification
• Must meet all medical, physical, drug test standards
• Must be able to pass psychological assessment
• Meet background screening requirements.
• Successful completion of Training and certification.
