Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in California to maintain a safe environment for customers and employees, while delivering professional client interactions and adhering to site post instructions.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a valid California Security Guard Card, and excellent English communication. Candidates should be able to perform patrols, light lifting, and work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• California Security Guard Card.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.

Duties and responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
