Job summary

Constellis is seeking professional security personnel to provide high-level unarmed security services across multiple buildings in the San Diego, CA area. The role requires guarding capabilities, incident reporting, and maintaining safety protocols.

Competitive hourly pay of $30.00, with paid training at the full hourly rate. Regular attendance and adherence to all policies are required. Must meet medical, physical, and background requirements and possess valid certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a current High School diploma or equivalent (U.S.).
• Must possess an active BSIS Guard License.
• CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification is required.
• OC Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for multiple buildings by conducting perimeter and internal security.
• Protect personnel and property in a professional manner.
• Meet and greet the general public and visitors with tact and courtesy.
• Screen and process visitors as required.
• Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations.
• Conduct roving patrols by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot.
• Control access to entrances/exits during emergencies.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Maintain keys and lock combinations securely.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide professional, high-level unarmed security services for the personnel, visitors, and property of various buildings within the San Diego, CA area.

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

Rate of Pay: $30.00/hr

Paid training at a full hourly rate

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide security for various buildings by conducting perimeter security, internal security, threat monitoring , etc.
• Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
• Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors
• Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors as required
• Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations
• Conduct internal and external roving vehicle, bicycle, and/or foot patrols
• Traffic control as necessary
• Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies
• Secure entrances and exits during emergencies
• Control keys and lock combinations
• Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company issued cellular phone
• Understand and comply with all requirements, plans, policies, procedures.
• Observe and report all offenses/incidents including suspicious activity
• Complete all reports and paperwork as required
• Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
• Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with state and company guidance.
• Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
• Support safety programs participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular, in-person attendance is required.
• Work is typically based in and around a a busy multi-building environment subject to frequent interruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must meet one (1) of the below experience requirements.
  • Prior Law Enforcement Officer graduated from official Law Enforcement Academy OR
  • Prior military with honorable discharge at a rank of E4 or above OR
  • Four (4) years of licensed armed security officer experience (Less Than Lethal acceptable), with demonstrated advanced training in security skill sets and proficiencies and a security vendor service record free of adverse actions OR
  • Five (5) years unarmed experience, and (2) years armed experience (less than lethal acceptable), and/or (2) years honorable military service with honorable discharge AND
• Must possess an active BSIS Guard License
• Must possess an OC Certification
• Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School. Foreign education must be evaluated to meet U.S. education requirements
• Must be a US Citizen with social security card
• Current Driver's License
• Current CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification
• Must meet all medical, physical, drug test standards
• Must be able to pass psychological assessment
• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent running, continuous and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending without the aid of any walking assistance device. Must be physically capable of riding a bicycle and/or operating a motor vehicle throughout the course of a workday.May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather.
• Meet background screening requirements.
• Successful completion of Training and certification.
