Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Saturday and Sunday 0600-1400

Pay Range

Up to USD $20.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Doyle Security is hiring for a unique security position in Scranton, PA. The position consists of operating a company owned pickup truck or other large vehicle for each tour and travel to multiple locations to conduct security inspections at the location. This is an outdoor position, in addition, this position requires the security officer to open and close gates, check locks, gates and fence lines and a multitude of other tasks:

  • Check reservoir dams and spillways for overflow and damage
  • Check for remnants of campfires and camping on customer property
  • Respond to locations to engage with trespassers, hunters, fisherman and other individuals who wander onto the property
  • Write and submit timely daily, incident, and other reports electronically via a company smart phone

  You will encounter many types of wildlife during your tour, so if you’re not accustomed to wooded and rural environments, this can be a challenge. It is cold in the winter, we provide winter clothing and hot in the summer.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma / GED required
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
