Job summary

DM Burr Group in Oakland is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for the 3rd shift, Fridays and Saturdays 9:00pm–5:00am. You will patrol the campus, monitor cameras, and control access to facilities.

You must provide excellent customer service, respond to emergencies, and file clear incident reports. A high school diploma and background check are required; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises on foot or by vehicle to deter intrusions or suspicious activity.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
• Control facility access by verifying identifications.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents; provide assistance.
• Document incidents and activities in clear, timely reports.
• Enforce rules and maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors.
• Assist in evacuations and safety procedures in emergencies.
• liaise with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

Position Available: Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer - 3rd Shift

Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays, 9:00pm to 5:00am at the Oakland Schools Technical Campus in Pontiac.

A car is provided to drive from our Flint office to the location.

Wage: $17.25/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned premises on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized persons, or suspicious activity.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
• Control access to facilities by verifying identification and credentials.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and security irregularities in clear, accurate, and timely written reports.
• Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and courteously.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and the public.
• Assist in evacuations or other safety procedures in emergencies.
• Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of conduct and appearance.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• You must pass a background check and any required licensing or training.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
