Job summary

FANUC America Corporation in Oakland County, MI is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to help safeguard facilities and employees. The role runs Saturdays 3:15pm–11:15pm and Sundays 7:15am–3:15pm with a wage of $18.00 per hour and benefits such as 401(k), PTO, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security or customer service experience preferred but not required.

• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check and any required licensing or training may be required.
• Drug screening required.

• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
• Control access to facilities by verifying identification and credentials.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and security irregularities in clear, accurate, and timely written reports.
• Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and courteously.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and the public.
• Assist in evacuations or other safety procedures in emergencies.
• Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of conduct and appearance.
