Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking unarmed security officers for Vandeveer Pearl Square in Jacksonville, FL. You will monitor premises, complete detailed incident reports and ensure doors and gates function properly while coordinating with a team for safety.

Starting at $18.00 per hour, this role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, EAP and employee discounts. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required to join our security team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Grooming standards must be met and maintained.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver\'s license required.
• Able to stand and walk for patrols and duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out detailed reports about incidents.
• Thoroughly inspect doors, windows and gates for proper function.
• Warn violators and enforce premise rules.
• Report hazards such as fires or leaks.
• Call emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Use provided software to annotate events during shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols and collaborate with team.

Security Officer Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a light physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have a reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's license!
