Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a responsible security guard to help ensure safety at our premises. The ideal candidate is alert, professional, and reliable. Weekly pay is offered, with support for obtaining state licenses where required.

Responsibilities include monitoring the property, detailed reporting, and coordinating with management. Prior security or related experience is preferred, and a valid diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related field preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk during patrols and shifts.
• Good attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Fill out detailed reports and review them for accuracy.
• Communicate findings effectively with team and management.
• Operate computer systems and security software as directed.
• Inspect doors, windows and gates for proper function and safety.
• Warn violators and enforce premise rules and regulations.
• Report hazards such as fires or leaks to appropriate personnel.
• Call emergency services for high-risk situations when needed.
• Escort and patrol property as assigned and collaborate with team.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Review reports and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with computer.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a light physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have reliable transportation.
