Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Unarmed Security Officer (Guard) performs security duties including responding to calls/incidents, securing scenes, crowd control, personnel, vehicular, and building checks, and providing First Aid and CPR as needed. Completes reports through electronic security systems.

Maintains qualification with assigned weapons, adheres to uniform and grooming standards, operates patrol vehicles safely, conducts flag protocols, safeguards assets, and provides motorist assistance. Familiar with CCTV, access control, emergency systems, and mobile security applications.

This position is contingent upon contract award and may require a signed letter of intent. Another posting will be available if awarded.

Primary Duties

• Respond to incidents and alarms
• Enforce security regulations
• Secure crime scenes and preserve evidence
• Control access and perform crowd management
• Conduct patrols and checks
• Provide First Aid/CPR as needed
• Complete reports and documentation
• Manage access control and vet visitors
• Safeguard assets and assist visitors
• Escort persons/equipment and monitor conditions
• Follow Post Orders and SOPs

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance
• Some college or associate degree preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record
• Familiar with security systems: CCTV, access control, emergency notification, mobile apps
• Pass background, drug, and physical tests
• Fluent in English and proficient with Microsoft/Google applications
• Willing to complete 40-80 hours of training
