We are hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required - Unarmed) at our site in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Cleared Security Officer, you will handle sensitive information and protect classified data and personnel. You will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols related to your clearance level, fostering professional growth in the security field.

Position Details

• Starting pay: $17.87/hour
• Employment type: Part-Time
• Shift: Overnight (5 AM - 5 PM)
• Workday: Sunday

Pre-Employment Requirements

• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years as a security supervisor/manager OR 3+ years security experience
• Access control/badge experience
• Customer service skills
• Guard card/license
• Comfort with using computers or tablets

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure safety
• Greet and escort guests, employees, visitors, and contractors
• Follow site-specific procedures; report safety concerns, breaches, and unusual activities
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations as a first responder

Qualifications (Must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
• State/local licensing as required
• Minimum 3 years security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field
