Job summary

Marksman Security LLC in Hazelton Mills, PA is seeking Security Officers to patrol and safeguard client properties, manage access control, monitor CCTV and perform front desk duties. The role includes frequent physical activity and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Rover: Patrols on foot or by vehicle to detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, thefts or other criminal activity.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests, check IDs, log visitors, and control access to the property.
• Front Desk: Welcome guests, provide customer service, monitor CCTV, distribute packages and assist residents.
• Device Check: Verify device IMEI and sticker paperwork for approved devices.
• North Dock: Monitor trash dump, track outbound trucks, count pallets and monitor dock doors.
• South Dock: Count pallets, monitor overhead doors, and coordinate communications.
• Metal Detector: Check devices and ensure only approved items enter the building.
• Tracker: Maintain records of high-value loads via software.

Job is located in Hazelton Mills, PA (Commutable from Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas).

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
• Device Check: Scanning tag on the back of approved employee devices, reading persons IMEI on phone making sure it matches the sticker or paperwork provided for the approved device.
• North Dock: Monitoring trash dump for theft attempts, opening and closing dock doors, tracking outbound trucks, counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring open dock doors as they are being loaded. monitoring special projects during peak season
• South Dock: Counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring special projects during peak season, sending and receiving emails, typing truck information, and monitoring open dock doors. open and close dock doors
• Metal Detector: Checking devices in and out; only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork are allowed. Making sure visitors clear through the x-ray. Watching the X-Ray machine, making sure everyone clears through the X-Ray. Making sure no prohibited items enter the building.
• Tracker: Keeps track of all high value loads via computer software.

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Mornings, Mid-day, overnight, and weekend availability required
