Job summary

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Hagerstown area as it expands into western Maryland. Officers will protect local businesses and communities and may rotate across client sites.

Requirements include Maryland Security Guard certification (company sponsors), meeting age and eligibility requirements, passing a background check, and reliable transportation to posts in the Hagerstown region.

Qualifications

• Maryland Security Guard certification required or ability to obtain; company sponsors and processes through licensed agency.
• Must meet Maryland age and eligibility requirements for licensed security personnel.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to posts throughout Hagerstown region.
• Report to every shift on time, in uniform, and professionally presented.
• Able to remain on your feet and move throughout a site for a full shift.
• Prior security experience preferred, but qualified candidates without experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to deter shoplifting, property damage, and unauthorized after-hours access.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and grounds, verifying that doors and entry points are locked and secure.
• Monitor access at controlled entry points, checking credentials as required by each site.
• Provide clear and professional assistance to shoppers, tenants, and employees.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies in a calm manner and in accordance with site protocols.
• Monitor camera feeds and report suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and complete incident reports thoroughly and on time.

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is expanding into western Maryland and is currently hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Hagerstown area. As a women- and minority-owned firm with three decades of industry experience, we seek reliable officers who demonstrate a genuine commitment to protecting local businesses and communities.

Where you'll work
Officers will be assigned to client sites throughout Hagerstown and the surrounding Washington County area, including manufacturing facilities, retail stores, shopping centers, and similar venues. Assignments are determined by current coverage needs and may rotate; therefore, candidates must be able to serve locations reliably across the region.

Uniform & equipment
Officers are required to supply their own professional Class A black uniform; the company provides any radios or communication equipment required at each post.

Schedule
