Gamma Team Security is seeking a reliable Security Officer to protect clients, employees, visitors, and property across various sites. The role emphasizes vigilance, customer service, and prompt response to security concerns.

Prior security, law enforcement, military, or related public safety experience is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, integrity, and strong written communication skills, with the ability to report incidents accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Illinois PERC Card and completion of 20-Hour Basic Training required
• Reliable mobile device with internet access (for reporting and communication)
• Strong knowledge of public safety/security procedures and protocols
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience as a Security Officer, Guard, or in a related role preferred

Responsibilities

• Wide range of potential assignments - events, construction, demolition sites, retail, corporate, etc.
• Patrol assigned premises and maintain a high level of visibility to deter incidents
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel have access
• Remove trespassers or unauthorized individuals when necessary
• Monitor and review surveillance cameras for unusual or suspicious activity
• Respond promptly to incidents and reports of suspicious behavior
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and document all security incidents
