Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas to check for vandalism and suspicious activity or persons
Investigate and report suspicious or unusual activity to the supervisor
Respond to alarms and dispatch calls and decide action based on the situation
Check doors and windows to ensure premises are safe and secure
Observe activity in the area and enforce safety and security regulations
Assist people who require directions or general information
Escort people to their destination when needed
Determine when a written incident report is required and submit to supervisor
Unlock buildings after verifying identification and client procedures
May assist law enforcement with crowd control or event surveillance
Perform other duties as assigned

Illinois Security Job Requirements

To be considered, candidates should have:

Valid PERC Card
Valid Driver’s License
FOID Card (for armed positions)
20-Hour Unarmed Security Certificate
40-Hour Armed Security Certificate (if applicable)
