Job summary

Blue-Line-Security-Solutions, LLC in Chicago seeks an attentive Unarmed Security Officer (Flex / Part-Time) to patrol client sites, deter misconduct, and ensure safety.

You will perform foot patrols, verify badges, monitor CCTV, complete DARs and incident reports, and coordinate with local responders as needed. Availability for day, swing, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Active Illinois PERC in good standing (or ability to provide proof of application/eligibility).
• State-mandated 20-Hour Basic Unarmed Security Training Certificate completed (or completed within required onboarding).
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Fingerprint/background check and drug screening per Illinois guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of designated facilities, parking areas and perimeters to detect safety hazards, unauthorized entry, or signs of criminal activity.
• Control access points by verifying employee badges, checking in visitors, issuing guest passes, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Monitor CCTV security cameras, alarm systems, and emergency equipment as assigned by site post orders.
• Write detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and complete Incident Reports for safety hazards or emergencies.
• De-escalate tense situations using clear, professional verbal communication and coordinate with local emergency responders when needed.
• Follow post orders and client procedures, adapting to shifts across multiple client locations.
