Qualifications

• High School diploma required; additional security studies preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a PERC card (IDFPR) prior to start.
• State-mandated 20-hour Basic Security Guard training within 30 days of employment.
• CPR/AED and NIMS training completed or obtainable.
• 2+ years proven security officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas regularly to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect security breaches.
• Inspect doors, windows, and access points for security.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate incident logs and reports.
• Assist visitors and staff with inquiries and directions.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.
• Follow all company policies and state/federal regulations.
• Engage in ongoing security training and drills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and security of our client's premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong observational skills, effective communication abilities, great customer service skills, good computer skills, and the capability to handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism and composure.Responsibilities:Patrol assigned areas regularly to deter and detect unauthorized activity.Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious behavior or security breaches.Conduct thorough inspections of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are secure.Respond promptly to requests for assistance or emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or accidents.Maintain accurate logs and reports detailing security incidents, disturbances, and any other noteworthy activities that occur during shifts.Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary.Follow company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to uphold security standards and ensure compliance.Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.Train by completing CPR/AED, NIMS and other training required.Proven experience as a security officer or guard (2+ Years experience Preferred)20-hour state certification and PERC Card (Required)Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safetyFamiliarity with report writingGood computer skillsExcellent surveillance and observation skillsValid Drivers LicenseReliable TransportationHigh School diploma is required; further education in security administration or a similar field is preferredCandidate MUST possess or be eligible to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) prior to the start of employment.
