Job summary

We are seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to join St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. at a prominent healthcare facility in Athens, OH. The role focuses on maintaining safety for patients, visitors and staff through visible security presence and prompt responses to incidents.

The position requires 2+ years security experience, an Ohio Guard Card, a valid driver's license and the ability to pass drug, background, and medical screenings. Shift is Monday-Friday, midnight to 8:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain Ohio Guard Card.
• Clean drug screen, background check and physical exam clearance.
• Minimum 2+ years of security experience.
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the healthcare facility and grounds.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms to detect and respond to unusual activity.
• Enforce the facility's safety and security policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Provide a professional presence and assist staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
• Maintain accurate incident and activity records.
• Assist with emergency evacuations when necessary.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a prominent healthcare facility in Athens, OH. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within the healthcare environment. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will provide a visible security presence, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to various security-related incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols of the healthcare facility and its grounds.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms to detect and respond to unusual activity.
• Assist in enforcing the facility's policies and procedures related to safety and security.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
• Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter certain locations.
• Provide a professional presence by assisting staff, patients, and visitors, offering support when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and daily activities.
• Provide assistance with emergency evacuations when necessary.

Requirements Include:

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain an Ohio Guard Card and meet the qualifications for security officers in Ohio.
• Clean drug screen , background check , and physical exam clearance .
• Must have at least 2+ years of security experience , and/or a combination of the following:
• Law Enforcement experience
• Military experience
• Associate Degree in a relevant field
• Crisis intervention experience
• Behavioral Health experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) training is a plus but not required.

• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks or security issues.
