Strategic Security Corp. is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard to provide a visible security presence and ensure a safe, professional environment in government, corporate, retail, or commercial settings.

Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarms, access control, incident reporting, and collaboration with local law enforcement when needed. The role emphasizes G.E.T.—Greet, Engage, and Thank—while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a State Unarmed Security Guard License, if required by state or local law.
• Must pass applicable state licensing tests if operating a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
• Verifiable work history required.
• One year of security experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow post orders and company procedures.
• Proficient basic computer skills (e.g., report writing, Microsoft Office).
• Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions.
• High attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Proactive, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and good judgment.
• Must be personable, approachable, and capable of building rapport with the public.
• Subject to drug screening, background check, and other pre-employment requirements as permitted by law.
• Veterans may be required to provide a DD214 upon offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle, as assigned.
• Observe, report, and deter theft, misconduct, and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Control entry and exit points and verify authorized access.
• Identify and address safety hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; notify law enforcement or emergency services as required.
• Assist with basic first aid and emergency notifications.
• Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity.
• Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and orderly post area at all times.
• Greet and engage customers, guests, tenants, and associates in a professional manner.
• Promote a positive environment and assist guests with directions and information.
